They include “doing” something and operating in a kingly flow. Here’s a simple way to understand the difference between these three gifts.
A gift of Faith is activating a miracle.
A gift of Healing is receiving a miracle.
A gift of Working of Miracles is working a miracle.
Remember, these are gifts of grace!
These gifts are the tangible demonstration of the grace of God on Earth. We’re going to explore POWER gifts.
It is important to remember that these gifts are supernatural grace manifested.
thinking, “Aren’t we all supposed to have faith?” “Is this faith different from the faith I already have?” Yes, it’s different! The gift of faith is not the same as saving faith but they are linked!
The gift of supernatural faith is built on your saving faith. The Bible says everyone is given a measure of faith! Faith is the foundation for the gift of faith.
The Greek word for “faith” in the New Testament is pistis. It conveys confidence, certainty, trust, and assurance in the object of faith. I love Hebrews 11:1
Hebrews 11:1 (NIV)
1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Faith isn’t something we only bring out when we need something from God.
Faith is the foundation of everything we do!
Faith is what leads us to know God is real.
Faith is the evidence!
Faith is as critical for our spirit as air is for our body!
Faith is the ability to demonstrate your belief in something that is invisible and impossible by acting as though it is visible and totally possible.
Hebrews 11:6 (NIV)
6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Faith is so essential to God, it’s impossible to please God without it!

FAITH VS BELIEF

Do you remember the words of Jesus in
Mark 16:17 - He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”
Mark 16:17 NIV
17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;
“And these signs shall follow those that believe.….” Jesus gives specific prerequisites for activating and operating in the unseen world.
1. You Have to Believe!“...anyone who believes in me.”
Look at the meaning of belief: An acceptance that a statement is true or that something exists. Confidence in someone or something.1
Belief is an acceptance and confidence that Jesus is telling me the truth;
What’s the difference between faith and belief?
Remember, belief is confidence in someone or something.
Belief is primarily grounded in facts, data, history, and experience.

CHRISTIAN BELIEF SAYS:

I believe Jesus is who He said He is, and Jesus did what He said He’d do, and I have actual evidence. Historical books written by both believers and nonbelievers confirm that a man named Jesus lived on the earth, was killed on a cross, and His followers not only believed He resurrected but gave their lives willingly because they knew He was real.

CHRISTIAN FAITH SAYS:

Faith is holding an absolute conviction in the reality you’ve yet to see. Faith begins with hope, not happenings. It starts with the expectation, not evidence. Faith is a supernatural assurance, not just a natural probability.
Faith is the password that unlocks the supernatural!
The gift of faith is the supernatural belief in something that is not humanly possible to achieve or accomplish. When this gift is in operation, it defies natural human laws and principles.

CHARACTERISTICS OF SUPERNATURAL FAITH

Trust that God is sovereign and He is good.
Take Him at His Word and put the full weight of their lives in His hands.
Expect God to move and are not surprised when He answers a prayer or performs a miracle.
In the Bible, supernatural faith is often followed by great works of faith. Just like what happened to Paul and Barnabas, in Acts 14, when they encountered a man who had never walked since birth because he was crippled.
Acts 14:8-10 8 In Lystra there sat a man who was lame. He had been that way from birth and had never walked. 9 He listened to Paul as he was speaking. Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healed 10 and called out, “Stand up on your feet!” At that, the man jumped up and began to walk.
Acts 14:8–10 NIV

Supernatural faith is often followed by great works of faith.
We see supernatural faith in action when Peter sees a lame man at the Beautiful Gate. He calls on him to stand up and walk in the name of Jesus. (Acts 3:1-10)
Jesus said even a small amount of this faith could move mountains. (Matthew 17:20; 21:21)
Paul echoed this truth in 1 Corinthians 13:2.

How can we grow our faith?

Romans 10:17 17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.
Romans 10:17 NIV
17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.
By listening to and believing in the Word of God!
The ONLY way for our faith to grow is through hearing and then trusting in the Word of God.
Our trust grows as we access His truth!

prayer RECEIVE & ACTIVATE: THE GIFT OF FAITH

“Jesus, You have made me a new creation. I stand on the promises of God and am learning to walk by faith. My life of faith is not just my eternal inheritance, it is my present-day destiny. You created me to have a faith relationship with You! I know that Faith in You is the doorway to everything I am hoping for. So, Lord Jesus, I ask that You would fill my heart with faith to receive the gift of faith, in order to experience the many miracles You have created for me. In Jesus’ mighty name - Amen!”

The Gift of Healing

What’s the difference between the three POWER gifts?
The gift of supernatural faith activates our faith, but the gift of supernatural healing is the act of receiving. The gift of healing is supernatural healing!
The gift of Faith is to activate a miracle.
The gift of Healing is to receive a miracle.
The gift of Working of Miracles is to work a miracle.
Let’s jump into discovering the gifts of healing!
A Gift of Faith Often Activates the Gift of Healing
The word ‘gifts’ is the Greek word charisma. Because the word “gifts” is plural, it reveals there are multiple ways God accomplishes healing.
The more I’ve learned about supernatural gifts, the more I see God doesn’t use formulas. He’s not interested in a human strategy to access the supernatural! If we found a way to earn it, we’d tend to do it, and it would no longer be a gift of grace. God doesn’t want us believing our efforts initiate the gifts of the Spirit. Instead, He keeps mystery throughout the process. God wants us to be dependent on Him, not some human formula. He wants us to look to Him as a loving Father who freely gives out gifts, not a supervisor who hands out rewards. Think about it this way: If God heals you only when you attend a specific church or have a particular minister pray over you, then, whenever you need healing, you’d be looking for the where and the who, but you’d miss the Divine Whom!
The gifts of healing restore with progressive results rather than instantaneous results like the gift of working a miracle.
The easiest way to remember the difference between the gifts of healing and miracles:
The gifts of healing are when God restores.
The gift of miracles is when God creates.
In the book of Luke, Jesus operated in the gifts of healing by restoring health to ten very sick men. It reveals how God wants us to actively use the gifts of healing.
Luke 17:11-14 Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!” When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed.
Luke 17:11–14 NIV
11 Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. 12 As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance 13 and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!” 14 When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed.
Were they healed instantaneously? No! The Holy Spirit, working through Jesus, progressively healed them as they walked to the priests.
It makes me wonder how many of us haven’t received healing because we haven’t listened to what Jesus asked us to do in the first place?
We may have the faith that God heals, but we lack the follow-through to do the exact thing He asks us to do. Faith gets us halfway there, but obedience takes us home!
John 9:2-7 'His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” After saying this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. “Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam” (this word means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing. '
John 9:2–7 NIV
2 His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” 3 “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. 4 As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. 5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” 6 After saying this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. 7 “Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam” (this word means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.

CHARACTERISTICS OF SUPERNATURAL HEALING

Supernatural healing that couldn’t happen on its own.
Imparted enablements.
Progressively reverses a condition.
God restores what was lost or taken.
Healing can take place over a period of time.
It requires the act of receiving.
It is activated by the gift of faith.
Today, I want you to pause for a moment when you or someone around you needs healing. (Try these four simple things)
1. Ask God what He’s doing and what He wants you to do.
2. Ask if you can pray for them.
3. Believe God can and will heal them.
4. Look for evidence! After you pray, ask them if they feel any different.
Remember, some healings are progressive. Believe God will continue to heal.

Prayer - RECEIVE & ACTIVATE: THE GIFTS OF HEALING

“Jesus, I thank You that You are my Healer. That by Your stripes I am already healed. Help me to remain awake and filled with faith when opportunities for healing come my way. All around me are people who are hurting, spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. Give me supernatural sensitivity to discern when You are encouraging me to pray a prayer of faith for those who desperately need the healing only You can provide. When Your healing happens, I will give You every bit of glory for the miracles You alone can do. In Jesus’ name - Amen!”

The Gift of Working of Miracles

What’s the difference between the three POWER gifts?
A gift of Faith is to activate a miracle.
A gift of Healing is to receive a miracle.
The gift of Working a Miracles is to work a miracle.
The gift of healing Restores
The gift of miracles Creates

There are four types of miracles

Miracles of Healing
Miracles of Supply
Miracles Over Demon Powers
Miracles over Nature
Let´s look at the specific miracles we saw Jesus perform while on earth and the ones we can believe for today

Miracles of Healing

Matthew 4:23 'Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.
Matthew 4:23 NIV
23 Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.
God created your body and he can restore your boby. He can fix it because he made it.

Miracles over nature

John 2:7-9 - 7 Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim. 8 Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.” They did so, 9 and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside
John 2:7–9 NIV

Luke 8:24 'The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!” He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. '
Luke 8:24 NIV
24 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!” He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm.
Jesus exercised authority over the elements of nature, which were originally created by Him.

Miracles of supply

Matthew 17:24-27 'After Jesus and his disciples arrived in Capernaum, the collectors of the two-drachma temple tax came to Peter and asked, “Doesn’t your teacher pay the temple tax?” “Yes, he does,” he replied. When Peter came into the house, Jesus was the first to speak. “What do you think, Simon?” he asked. “From whom do the kings of the earth collect duty and taxes—from their own children or from others?” “From others,” Peter answered. “Then the children are exempt,” Jesus said to him. “But so that we may not cause offense, go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours.”'
Matthew 17:24–27 NIV

Miracles over Demonic powers

Mark 1:32-34 32That evening after sunset the people brought to Jesus all the sick and demon-possessed. 33The whole town gathered at the door, 34and Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out many demons, but he would not let the demons speak because they knew who he was.
Mark 1:32–34 NIV

MIRACULOUS OR SIGN GIFTS:

The miraculous gifts include such gifts as tongues and healing. These gifts are meant for edifying the Christian in his relationship with God and the Church.
Speaking in Tongues - to speak in a language not previously learned so unbelievers can hear God’s message in their own language or the body can be edified
Miracles - to be enabled by God to perform mighty deeds which witnesses acknowledge to be of supernatural origin and means
Healing - to be used as a means through which God makes people whole either physically, emotionally, mentally, or spiritually

ENABLING GIFTS:

The four enabling gifts, which each Christian has to some degree, include discernment, faith, knowledge, and wisdom.
Discernment - to clearly distinguish truth from error by judging whether the behavior or teaching is from God, Satan, human error, or human power
Faith - to be firmly persuaded of God’s power and promises to accomplish His will and purpose and to display such a confidence in Him and His Word that circumstances and obstacles do not shake that conviction
Knowledge - to seek to learn as much about the Bible as possible through the gathering of much information and the analyzing of that data
Wisdom - to apply knowledge to life in such a way as to make spiritual truths quite relevant and practical in proper decision-making and daily life situations.

TASK-ORIENTED GIFTS

These gifts enhance the task-oriented (teamgifts). There are mine task oriented gifts:
Evangelism - to be a messenger of the good news of the Gospel Prophecy - to speak forth the message of God to His people.
Teaching - to instruct others in the Bible in a logical, systematic way so as to communicate pertinent information for true understanding and growth.
Exhortation - to come alongside someone with words of encouragement, comfort, and counsel to help them be all God wants them to be.
Leadership - to stand before the people in such a way as to attend to the direction of the body with such care and diligence so as to motivate others to get involved in the accomplishment of these goals
Service - to identify undone tasks in God's work, however menial, and use available resources to get the job done (Greek Word: diakonia ‐ deacon, attendant 'diako'=to run errands)
Mercy - to be sensitive toward those who are suffering, whether physically, mentally, or emotionally, so as to feel genuine sympathy with their misery, speaking words of compassion but moreso caring for them with deeds of love to help alleviate their distress
Administration - 1 Cor. 12:28 - to steer the body toward the accomplishment of God‐given goals and directives by planning, organizing, and supervising others (Greek Word: kubernesis ‐ to steer, guide, helmsmen)
Giving - Romans 12:8 - to share what material resources you have with liberality and cheerfulness without thought of return
